It is true that it he not the breed I would choose for myself, but that does not mean he is not well-suited to other riders and situations. He seems to be fitting your needs well.

If by that you mean "for a beginner" then yeah, he does work out just fine.

If you like him and he enables you to join me, then I see no reason why I should not be satisfied as well.
